Dance with the Debonair Dancers!A Ballroom Dance and Dining ClubDebonair Dancers is a non-profit club for 100 couples who enjoy ballroom dancing. Singles may belong, but they need to bring a partner to each dance. We hold a dinner-dance every even-numbered month on a Friday evening. Each event includes a catered dinner served buffet style, prepared by a popular Bay Area caterer. After dinner, we dance to music provided by a live band or a DJ. Our usual mix of dance steps includes Waltz, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Night Club Two-Step, West Coast Swing, Tango, Samba, Salsa, Viennese Waltz, and Quickstep, along with an occasional Polka and Argentine Tango. Other dances can be requested. Dinners usually feature two entrees, as well as salad, side dishes, and dessert. Ice water and coffee are available throughout the evening. You are welcome to bring your own wine, beer, or soft drinks to dinner (no hard liquor). There is no corkage fee. All dances start with a social time at 7:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:20p.m. and dancing throughout the night until 10:30 p.m. We meet in the Orchard Pavilion at the Sunnyvale Community Center on Remington Drive. Our members come from San Mateo, Saratoga, San Jose, Cupertino, Fremont, even from as far away as Hollister. Dues are $75 per year per couple, due in April of each year, and include a bimonthly newsletter. Guests are welcome at our dances, and must be sponsored by a club member.
